Killer Words

The killers are out, hiding

behind someone’s flashy smile, making devilish grine

Formulating vowels and consonants,

stuck between grinding teeth of ex- lovers or bitter old girlfriends

Who overthrew heaven’s and earth’s kingdoms of love

fortified by years or lifetimes of loyalty and trust

Killing unborn love-childs who’ve crossed

burning bridges on their way to lust

Killing timelines in shape of umbilical cords and

burning down would be family trees

Them girls be sucking the juice out of killers,

stuck like glue in between their teeth

Fanning down their tempers

with a fresh acrylic breeze

Rolling back burnt images in their heads,

with a final “nigga please”
